Players Chelsea could use in a swap deal to get Maresca his Primary Target, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall

Chelsea have entered the competition to sign Leicester City midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, aiming to disrupt Brighton’s pursuit of the 25-year-old, according to Daily Express.

Dewsbury-Hall seemed destined for the AMEX Stadium, with reports indicating Seagulls midfielder Jakub Moder would be included in the deal.

Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca, who previously worked with Dewsbury-Hall during his tenure at Leicester, is eager for a reunion. The Blues reportedly submitted an official bid for the midfielder on Friday.

Here are three Chelsea players Maresca could offer to persuade Leicester to part with Dewsbury-Hall if their initial bid is rejected.

Armando Broja

Leicester will need attacking power to ensure a successful season upon their Premier League return. Chelsea could propose Armando Broja, who has fallen out of favor at Stamford Bridge.

Broja, once tipped for stardom after a successful loan spell with Southampton, has struggled to progress following a serious ACL injury at the end of 2022.

The 22-year-old might seize the opportunity to prove his worth in the Premier League with a move to the east Midlands.

Trevoh Chalobah

If Leicester seeks defensive reinforcements, Chelsea could offer Trevoh Chalobah in exchange for Dewsbury-Hall.

The 24-year-old centre-back, who shone during Frank Lampard’s first stint as Chelsea manager, has seen his prospects diminish in recent years.

Chalobah started just 10 Premier League matches under Mauricio Pochettino last season and may welcome a fresh start to revive his career.

Robert Sanchez

In their last Premier League stint, Leicester struggled with goalkeeping, rotating between Danny Ward and Daniel Iversen, neither of whom impressed consistently.

Last season, Leicester’s defense improved significantly with the arrival of goalkeeper Mads Hermansen from Brøndby, conceding only 41 goals in 46 Championship matches.

While Hermansen is expected to thrive in the Premier League, Leicester might appreciate the addition of experienced top-flight goalkeeper Robert Sanchez.

Sanchez, who starred for Brighton before joining Chelsea, has fallen behind Djordje Petrovic in the pecking order. Chelsea could afford to let him go and seek a new backup.
