Mason Greenwood Seeks Swift Resolution to Manchester United Future

According to reports on BBC sport, Mason Greenwood, who spent last season on loan at Getafe, is pushing for clarity regarding his future with Manchester United. Despite the club's £40 million valuation, no offers meeting this price have emerged, leaving Greenwood increasingly impatient.

The 22-year-old forward, who has a single England cap, is not enthusiastic about a potential move to Marseille. Instead, he prefers a permanent return to Spain, where he enjoyed his loan spell. Valencia has already submitted a £25 million bid, but it falls short of United’s asking price. Other interested parties include Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, Juventus, and Lazio.

Greenwood, eager to resolve his situation, has commenced his pre-season training independently. He has been training on a £100-an-hour plastic pitch in Manchester alongside Shola Shoretire, another United player seeking regular first-team football.

Getafe president Angel Torres has expressed a strong desire to bring Greenwood back to Spain. He told Radio Marca, "If it depends on the boy and the parents, he will continue another year. Manchester, the news we have from last week, the thing is that if there is a good offer they would like to sell. Because he is not going to return there." Torres highlighted Greenwood's impressive performance last season, noting that despite a 16-month absence from the field, Greenwood scored eight league goals and two in the cup, significantly contributing to the team.

Greenwood’s desire for a resolution aligns with Manchester United’s interest in securing a satisfactory transfer deal. The coming weeks will be crucial in determining whether he will remain with United or secure a move to another European club.
