According to the report from the Sun, the President General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo worldwide, Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu argued that the prevalence of insecurity across the country is a direct result of the lack of equity and justice, asserting that even groups like Boko Haram and other bandits claim to be driven by these systemic failures.

Highlighting the dire situation in the Northeast and Northwest, he described how farmers are forced to pay tithes or royalties to bandits to ensure their safety while farming or harvesting crops.

He questioned the implications of an individual who has established their own nation within Nigeria's borders, such as the hoisting of flags in Sambisa and the Chad basin, emphasizing the severity of the issues at hand and the potential challenges to Nigeria's sovereignty.

He said, "If there is equity and justice, insecurity across the country would have not arisen in the first place. Even the Boko Haram and other bandits claim that things are not working well and that is why they picked guns against the state. If you go to the Northeast, and Northwest, farmers now pay tithes or royalty to bandits before farming or harvesting their crops. Now, what do you think of a man who hoisted flags in Sambisa and the Chad basin and declared a nation of his own? What do you call that?"
