Arsenal's Kai Havertz is the first player to have more than one goal involvement in the 2024 European Championship. Interestingly, only one player got more of such involvements during the group stage of the competition as per Stathead. Who is this striker and how did he do it?
This lone footballer is Georges Mikautadze. This 23-year-old goal poacher has netted 3 times and made 1 assist for Georgia in Euro 2024. This brings his total number of involvements in goals to 4. He began with one strike in Georgia's opening match of the tournament. The France-based forward netted a 32nd minute goal to give his country an equalizer against the Turkish national team. In fact, he was the only one that made as many as four attempts in the clash.

In his second game of the competition, the Georgian star was again on target. This time, his penalty gave his country the lead over Czechia in the first half. Unfortunately, this goal was not enough as the opponents were able to cancel it out before the match ended. When the Georgians encountered Portugal in the last game of Group F, the Metz star was the hero one more time. He set Khvicha Kvaratskhelia up for the opener within the first two minutes action. In the 57th minute, Mikautadze doubled his country's lead from the penalty spot. This enabled him to secure his first win of the championship.
Georges is now the top contestant for the golden boot heading into the round of 16. He is also the only guy that has registered two penalty goals in the showpiece. It should be noted that his 13 Ligue 1 goals in the 2023/24 season were the highest by any player in Metz during the term.
