Senator Adolphus Wabara, presiding over the Board of Trustees of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has leveled serious allegations against the All Progressives Congress (APC), asserting that the rival party is colluding to undermine the PDP by leveraging certain PDP members.
This alleged plot, he cautions, aims to facilitate the establishment of one-party dominance in Nigeria. The concern arises from a recent wave of resignations within the PDP, particularly in Imo State, which Wabara attributes to the undue influence of the APC.
Drawing from his experience as a former Senate president, Wabara pledges that the opposition party, under the vigilant guidance of the Board of Trustees, is prepared to counter any efforts to transform Nigeria into a single-party stronghold.
He emphasizes that the BoT, serving as the moral compass of the PDP, will promptly intervene to thwart any deliberate divisions within the party. Wabara underscores the crucial role of the BoT's seasoned wisdom and unyielding integrity in upholding the PDP's fundamental principles.

According to The Sun, Wabara remarked, "The BoT will swiftly intervene to prevent the deliberate and orchestrated extinction of this esteemed party. The BoT, comprising distinguished individuals of unparalleled experience and integrity, will undoubtedly rescue the party. The BoT did it before and will do so again, regardless of whose interests are affected.
"The BoT will never permit the APC to exploit certain elements within the PDP to transform this beloved nation into a one-party state."
