President Bola Tinubu has vowed that Nigeria under his watch shall not slither into an era of blood, sorrow, tears, and fears.

The President also declared that those who carry out wanton violence in the country will face the wrath of the law as his government will not allow them to evade justice.

Reacting to the recent terrorist bomb attacks, which resulted in the loss of lives and the maiming of other citizens in Gwoza Local Government Area of Borno State, President Tinubu, in a statement issued by his spokesman, Chief Ajuri Ngelale, said that the cowardly attacks by terrorists and criminal elements are isolated incidents.

The statement read: “President Bola Tinubu strongly condemns the bomb attacks, which resulted in the loss of precious lives and the maiming of other citizens in Gwoza Local Government Area of Borno State.

3 Dead, 50 Houses Destroyed As Rain Wreaks Havoc In Yobe

At least three people, were killed while 7 sustained injuries after a building collapsed due to heavy downpour in Nangere Local Government area of Yobe State.

Daily Trust reports that the tragedy occurred at Tsohon Gari in Nangere Local Government Headquarters, this weekend.

It was gathered that over 50 houses were destroyed, rendering several families homeless.

Shuwa Adamu a resident of the community, told Daily Trust that the torrential rain was accompanied by wind.

Founder of Genevieve Magazine, Betty Irabor, has debunked news making the rounds that Nollywood veteran, Olu Jacobs, is dead.

There were rumours on social media that the seasoned thespian passed away at 82 years on Sunday.

Jacobs had been battling dementia for a while now.

But Irabor tweeted: “Olu Jacobs is well and alive. Please ignore all rumours of his passing.”

Drug dealers’ boldness to seek court’s protection baffles Kano gov

Governor Abba Yusuf of Kano State, has expressed shock over the boldness displayed by certain drug dealers, who have obtained court orders for the release of confiscated illicit drug shipments.

In a statement issued on Sunday by his spokesperson, Sunusi Tofa, the governor disclosed that he was shocked by their actions, during his visit to the Kano Road Traffic Agency where he was briefed on the situation.

The governor’s amazement, was evident as he discovered that some individuals, who engaged in the illicit drug trade, had successfully procured court orders for the release of their seized contraband.

He expressed surprise over the judge’s reasoning for issuing such questionable orders, emphasizing the severity of the issue at hand.
