Three members of a robbery gang who raided a popular Pentecostal church while service was on, dispossessed worshippers of their valuables and thereafter abducted the female pastor of the church have been arrested by men of the Edo State Police Command, the command announced late on Wednesday night.
The command disclosed the arrest on its X handle while also displaying the photograph of two of the robbers, with an indication that the third robber is undergoing treatment for gunshot wounds.
According to the command, the female pastor reported that during a service at the Deeper Life Bible Church in one of the towns in the state, the three men walked into the church with guns and dispossessed the worshippers of their valuables.

She also told police operatives that the robbers abducted and took her away in her Toyota Highlander to a place where she was forced to disclose her Automated Teller Machine (ATM) card pin number. After disclosing it, they withdrew her money before releasing her and held on to the vehicle.
The command wrote: "The operatives of the command's Crack Team, while acting on the report from the female pastor, intercepted the stolen Toyota Highlander from the robbers along the Auchi Road, while their weapons were found inside the vehicle."
According to the command, during their interrogation, the robbers, whose names were not disclosed, confessed their involvement in the robbery and abduction.
They are expected to be charged to court at the conclusion of the investigation about their robbery activities.
