FG Flags Off Construction of Resettlement Centre in Tudun Biri

The Nigerian government has launched a resettlement scheme for individuals affected by conflicts.

The initiative aims to build residences, roads and essential facilities for the victims as well as provide them with a dignified environment to live in.

At the groundbreaking ceremony for the resettlement scheme in Tudun Biri, Nigeria's Vice President, Kashim Shettima, emphasised the importance of the timely intervention.

Seven months have passed since the unfortunate incident.

However, the groundbreaking ceremony for the resettlement scheme in Tudun Biri, marks a pivotal moment in the collective determination to transform the suffering, into one of opportunities and renewal of hope for the community.

Governor Uba Sani recalled the incident, and explained that over 270 million Naira have been disbursed to the victims, since the attack. 

He said that ongoing efforts are in place to construct roads, and provide other basic amenities, to improve the lives of community residents.

Vice President Kashim Shettima commended Governor Uba Sani for uniting the people of the state. 

He expressed sadness over the conflicts that have torn communities apart in the past, noting that the resettlement scheme symbolises healing.

Shettima further emphasised that the resettlement scheme, represents a beacon of promise amidst adversity, and a commitment to restoring dignity, rebuilding lives, and fostering a sense of unity, that transcends division.
