France Star Wants To Retire From Professional International Football At 28

Kingsley Coman is considering on the idea of retiring from international football after Euro 2024 at the age of 28. 

As per The Sun, Coman has been a member of the French national team's senior squad since 2015, displaying remarkable performances for clubs like Juventus and his current team, Bayern Munich. 

His playing time at the ongoing European Championships was limited to just 15 minutes when he substituted Ousmane Dembele in a match against the Netherlands. 

According to reports from L'Equipe as reported by The Sun, Coman had a challenging experience during the Euros which left a lasting impact on him. 

The same source mentions that Coman had to overcome a hamstring injury to secure a place in Didier Deschamps' squad. 

There are also speculations that the decision to retain Deschamps as the coach for the 2026 World Cup may have influenced Coman's decision.

Coman has scored a total of eight goals in 57 appearances for the French national team. 

Furthermore, despite encountering multiple injuries throughout the season, the French player was able to score five goals and made three assists in 27 appearances in various competitions with Bayern.
