The Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Projects, often known as SERAP, have posed the question of why individual state governors in Nigeria always achieve a perfect score in the elections for their respective local governments.
On Sunday, this statement was conveyed through a post that was published on the official X handle of the SERAP organisation.
The Peoples Democratic Party, also known as the PDP, emerged victorious in the elections for the chairperson positions in the Oyo state council that took place on Saturday. This announcement follows the party's victory.
In all 33 of the state's local governments, the People's Democratic Party (PDP) emerged victorious, as reported by PREMIUM TIMES.
However, SERAP has now reacted to the report. In the post that the group shared on its official page, SERAP said are there no opposition parties in those states with 100% winning records?
SERAP wrote on its official page;
"How is it always the case that Nigeria's state governors record 100% 'success' in their local government elections? Are there no opposition parties in these states with 100% 'winning' records?".
