IPOB Commander, 2 Others Feared Dead In Imo

A notorious commander of the banned Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), identified as Tochukwu, alias Joto and two other of his comrades have been killed by security forces in Imo State.

A statement by the Nigerian Army on its official X handle said troops in conjunction with personnel from Nigeria Police, Department of State Services, and Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps, successfully conducted special clearance operation across the general areas of Udda, Ihiteukwa, and Orsumoghu, along the borders of Orsu and Ihiala local government areas of Imo and Anambra States, respectively.

Troops during the operation encountered members of the IPOB and the Eastern Security Network (ESN) who have been using the area as a sanctuary.

Gunmen Kill Two, Abduct 18 Others In Kaduna Community

Suspected bandits have killed two persons and kidnapped 18 others in Ungwan Dantata in the Gefe community of Kallah Ward, Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

The bandits, according to a resident of the area, invaded the community on Monday morning at exactly 10am, shooting sporadically.

The two persons killed were identified as Ezra Badama and Nagode Ibro, while those abducted include Nehemiah Sukuni, Rebecca Nehemiah, Sadam Gane, Alice Sadam, Jashu’a Sukuni, Rhoda Isaac, Isaac Dako, Patience Godwin, A’ishatu Ezra, Damaris Nathan, Justina Afis, Gabriela Nathan, Daniela Nehemiah, Jackson Sadam, Amame Ezra, Benedict Monday, Enoch Yohanna and Igwe Saleh.


No Rejection Of Corps Members Expected From Public Institutions, Says Niger Governor

Niger state governor, Mohammed Umar Bago, has said that there is no need for corps members to seek for placement in private institutions and risk rejection as the institutions in the public sectors are more than enough to accomodate all corps members.

The governor stated this at the closing ceremony of the 2024 Batch A, Stream 2 Orientation Course at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp in Paiko, Niger state.

The governor who was represented by the Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Yahaya Ibrahim Gulbin-Boka, Yahaya Boka, said that no public institution is expected to reject corps members urging the corps members to file complaints of ant public institutions that reject them. 


Dunamis Testifier, Anyim Vera Arrested By Police

Anyim Vera, Dunamis International Gospel Center, DIGC member who went viral after she was accused of lying during a testimony has been arrested by the Police.

Vera was reportedly detained by the Nigeria Police Force on Tuesday over a breach of etiquette.

Recall that Vera’s story had gone viral after the Senior Pastor of the church, Dr Paul Enenche obstructed her testimony at the Church Headquarters.
