According to Punch News, the killer of the 22 year old University of Benin Graduate, Glory Adekolure that was found dead on 13th June, 2024 was after she she returned from her school where she went to do clearance and submit her project. It was reported that the police traced a yet to be identified middle aged man to Delta State, where he was arrested.

After Gloria's body was found under a tree on a street in the Iyowa, Benin City, close to her house, the police began investigating with the use of technology by the cybercrime unit they were able to trace the killer, but he ran to Delta State. The police still traced him to Delta and arrested him and recovered the victim's phones.

He confessed to the crime and the victim's person belongings were recovered from him. He also said that he has killed and robbed eight other different women. He was later taken to the scene to show the police how he killed Gloria. The police also said that they are yet to parade the suspect officially.
