Raila Odinga's younger sister Ruth Odinga, who doubles up as the Woman Representative for Kisumu County, have today alleged what Ruto allied MPs used to do in parliament before the Gen Z Protests.

Speaking at an event attended by Raila Odinga in Migori today, Ruth Odinga thanked the Gen Zs for the protests, adding that the Gen Zs have helped them in the opposition wing to have some dignity in the parliament.

Ruth claimed that Majority of the MPs who voted Yes for the Finance Bill 2024 are those who do not like attending parliament sittings.

She claimed that most of the MPs are those who usually visit Ruto's office at State House before deciding on what to do as far as the parliament businesses are concerned.

She termed what was going on in parliament as a shame, claiming that the Majority of the MPs who voted Yes used to visit Parliament, take tea before going to State House. Ruth alleged that the MPs used to make decisions based on what they had been told by President Ruto at State House.

"Those who voted Yes do not even come to parliament. They just walk in and take tea and go to State House and come back with whatever what the boss has said without considering anybody or the people of Kenya," Ruth Odinga alleged.

She encouraged the Gen Zs to continue fighting for the rights of Kenyans and expression their views, promising that they will be there to support the Gen Zs.

She also sent a warning to Ruto, claiming that the President's time is up.

"You lier you time is up, Gen Zs have said. Ruto your time is up," she said.
