In a candid interview on TVC TV, a political analyst, Kaseem Afegbua expressed strong confidence in the 2023 election, stating that it was the most successful election conducted in Nigeria within the last 25 years.

He pointed to several significant outcomes that showcased the election's fairness and democratic nature, including the victories of unexpected candidates and defeats of previously established political figures.

He highlighted the loss of seven sitting governors in their Senatorial races, an unprecedented occurrence in Nigeria's history.

Additionally, he mentioned President Tinubu's defeat in Lagos as further evidence of surprising election outcomes, indicating that the electoral process had significantly improved.

He said, "I am one of those Nigerians who believe very strongly that the 2023 election was the best we have conducted in the last 25 years. And I have my reasons for saying so. At least we saw people that nobody ever gave chance to win election, we saw them coming out as victors in the election. We saw seven sitting governors losing the Senatorial seat, it has never happened in the history of Nigeria. We saw the major presidential candidate, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu who is now the President of the country losing his election in Lagos. We saw some surprises and upsets. That is to tell you that there are serious improvements in the conduct of elections in Nigeria."
