A lady from Nakuru refered to as Tabitha Wambui painfully narrates how her husband married a second wife after she failed to conceive a firstborn son.
She was born and raised in Nakuru. She was from a poor background and she dropped out of school while still in primary school. She started working as a house help and within no time she met a man and she got married.
She thought that she would get pregnant soon after but she was unsuccessful. However an year later she conceived and she delivered a baby girl. This frustrated her husband and her in-laws as they expected a baby boy. They pressured her into having another child but she couldn't.
She said that this forced her husband to seek a second wife which strained their marriage. She was mistreated by her in-laws and her husband never paid attention to her. The second wife got pregnant soon after and she gave birth to a baby boy.
"This was the saddest day of my life because i knew that i would be chased away from my matrimonial home." Tabitha claimed.
Her life changed completely she wasn't allowed to speak to her husband and her daughter wasn't allowed to mingle woth other family members. There were constant fights between her and the second wife who called her horrible names.
According to Tabitha her fate was sealed when her in-laws and the second wife ganged against her a d chases her away. She left woth her daughter and till today she has never got married.
