The Vice President of Nigeria, Kashim Ibrahim Shettima has reacted after he met a delegation of the United Nations System in Nigeria led by its Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator, Mr. Mohamed Fall.
Kashim Ibrahim Shettima stated on his verified Facebook page; "This evening in my office at the Presidential Villa, I met with a delegation from the United Nations System in Nigeria led by its Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator, Mr. Mohamed Fall.
He added; "Comprising the heads of the UN agencies operating in Nigeria, the delegation speaking through Mr. Fall, pledged the support of the global body for the programmes and policies of the Tinubu administration. Mr. Fall noted that the UN will collaborate with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration to ensure the success of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Nigeria, affirming the body's conviction that the success or failure of Africa depends on the country."
He stated further; "According to the global body, the progress of Nigeria translates to the development of Africa because if Nigeria does not make it there is no chance for any country on the continent to make it. In my remarks, I assured that Nigeria will work closely with the global body to address all the country's challenges as a people. I also highlighted some of our administration's reforms aimed at transforming the economy and improving the lives of the people."
