1. Nicolas Anelka

The French striker spent one season in Madrid, scoring seven goals in 31 appearances for Los Blancos between 1999 and 2000.


After spells at Paris St Germain and Liverpool, Anelka joined Man City in 2002 and played for City for three seasons, scoring an impressive 45 goals in 103 appearances.


2. Emmanuel Adebayo


Emmanuel Adebayor played for Manchester City from 2009 to 2012, scoring 19 goals in 45 appearances. In 2011, he moved to Real Madrid on loan for one season, winning the Copa del Rey in 2011. The athlete was named BBC Footballer of the Year in 2007.



3. Brahim Diaz

Brahim spent time in the Manchester City academy before joining Madrid in 2019. He featured 21 times in 18 months before moving to AC Milan on loan in the summer of 2020.


Brahim starred during his three seasons in Italy, registering 18 goals and 15 assists in 124 matches. He also helped Milan to the Scudetto in the 2021-22 season.


4. Mateo Kovacic

Kovacic played more than 100 times for Real and amassed a huge horde of silverware.


All told, he helped Real lift three Champions League titles, two UEFA Super Cup titles, two FIFA Club World Cup titles, one La Liga crown, and a Spanish Super Cup for good measure.


That was subsequently followed by success for Chelsea in the 2021 UEFA Champions League before he secured a £25m move to Manchester City last summer.
