The All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has congratulated Adegboyega Oyetola over his victory at the Osun State Election Tribunal.
The 3-man election tribunal chaired by Justice Tertsea Kume on Friday in Osogbo ruled that Oyetola is the duly elected governor of the state and ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission to issue a Certificate of Return to Oyetola while declaring the result that produced Ademola Adeleke as governor as null and void
In reaction to the development, Tinubu congratulated Oyetola, saying that it was the victory of light over darkness.
The former governor of Lagos State said this in a statement released by his spokesperson, Tunde Rahman, on Friday.
Tinubu said the forces of darkness plotted to extinguish the progressive governance of Oyetola in Osun, but the judgement delivered by the tribunal restored the mandate given to the former governor by the people of the state.
