The Pan Igbo Socio-cultural organisation, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, has claimed that some south east governors and Igbo leader seem to be happy to visit the IPOB leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu in detection and take photographs with him, rather than seeking political solutions for his release.

According to Daily Post, Ohaneze Ndigbo made this disclosure in a statement that was released by its Secretary General, Mazi Okechukwu Isiguzoro, on Sunday, in Abakiliki, the Ebonyi State capital.

Some parts of the statement read: "They (Igbo leaders) seem more inclined to visit and take photographs with Kanu in detention rather than actively seeking political solutions for his release."

Speaking further, Ohaneze Ndigbo made it known that it is paramount for Ndigbo to hold South East Governors, Igbo Elders, National Assembly members, and Traditional Rulers accountable for the extended detention of Nnamdi Kanu, in prison and stop blaming the federal government or President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

In addition, the Igbo group accused some Igbo governors and political leaders of exploiting Nnamdi Kanu's detention for their personal and selfish political gains.
