According to This Day, The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ebonyi State, Chief Stanley Okoro Emegha, has claimed that former Senate President and former Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator Anyim Pius Anyim, will join the party soon.
Emegha said he had made frantic efforts to bring the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) national leader into the APC and he has accepted to join the party.
He said this was why his pictures were used in the local government and councillorship elections APC rally held in Ivo, the former ex-SGF local government yesterday.
When making these remarks at the event, Emegha referred to Anyim as a vital APC stakeholder. On July 14, he said, everyone would be aware that Anyim is a crucial APC supporter in the southeast.
"I took it personally to approach him about the necessity of coming along, as negotiations will not be possible for the whole Southeast without a man like him."
Seeing his name and image on an APC poster at a rally has made me feel pleased today.
You cannot include his photo in our (APC) rally programme without his permission; he has such a beautiful personality.
We are able to use his photo in today's episode because he has already acknowledged being a member of the APC.
"I am here to declare that Senator Anyim Pius Anyim is an APC member." He is a stakeholder in the APC in addition to being a member.
