Buba Galadima, Chairman of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), has revealed that his support for President Bola Tinubu is not based on promises or expectations but rather on teaching Nigerians a lesson. In an interview with Arise TV, Galadima stated that Tinubu is free to act as he pleases, and his support for the president is a way to show Nigerians the importance of critical thinking in their political decisions.
According to Galadima, by supporting Tinubu, he hopes to teach Nigerians to think twice before voting based on ethnic or religious sentiments. He emphasised that Nigerians must learn to prioritise the country's progress over personal interests and biases.
He said, "Look, the man is free to do what he wants. I support him. I keep on saying I support him because this is the only way to teach Nigerians some sense. Next time, when you're voting, you'll think twice, or when you're thinking of some ethnic coloration or anything about religion, then you should think twice."
