Omotayo Adekolure, the brother of the late Glory Adekolure, a final-year student at the University of Benin who was killed in Benin, Edo State, on June 13, 2024, recently expressed concerns about the investigation into her death.
In a recent interview shared by Punch, Omotayo mentioned that the police said the male suspect that was arrested in connection with the crime confessed that he killed Glory inside a piggery. Omotayo questioned how Glory's body ended up under a tree opposite the piggery where the body was found.
Omotayo also said they had not been updated since the arrest of the suspect was announced. He expressed hope that the Edo State Commissioner or Police would provide them with more information and justice for his sister.
In Omotayo's words: "The police said the suspect confessed to having killed my sister in that piggery. So we need to know how the body got under the tree. The person who killed my sister made away with her phone. The question is has her phone been found? The CP has invited us to his office twice but he has not called us since the police said the killer had been arrested. We are hoping that the CP, who is a good man, will call us to his office to show us our sister’s killer"
