According to Sahara reporters, Leah Sharibu, a Christian schoolgirl from Yobe State, Nigeria, who was abducted by Boko Haram terrorists in 2018, has reportedly been married to at least two Boko Haram leaders. According to a "repentant" terrorist, Sharibu first married Abdulrahman after converting to Islam and had a son with him. After Abdulrahman's death in an air raid, she remarried a top commander named Ali Abdallah and bore a daughter with him. Abdallah is said to have become the Chief Judge of the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) in the Lake Chad basin.

The revelation about Sharibu's marriages came from a "repentant" Boko Haram fighter who spoke to SaharaReporters. Sharibu was among the 110 female students abducted from the Government Girls' Science and Technical College in Dapchi, Yobe State, by Boko Haram insurgents. Her abduction and subsequent captivity have drawn international attention and raised concerns about the safety of girls in conflict zones. The disclosure about her marriages sheds new light on her ordeal and the complex dynamics within Boko Haram's ranks.

The "repentant" Boko Haram fighter said: “Leah was first married to Abdulrahman after she converted to Islam and they had one child, a baby boy. Her husband was killed in an air raid after which she remarried a top commander, Ali Abdallah to whom she bore a baby girl.
