The Edo State Police Command has presented the suspect allegedly responsible for the murder of Glory Adekolure, a University of Benin undergraduate. Edo State Commissioner of Police, Funsho Adegboye, stated that the suspect fled the scene after committing the crime and was tracked down to Asaba, where he was ultimately apprehended.
According to Adegboye, the arrest was the result of an extensive investigation carried out by the anti-kidnapping and cybercrime unit. The suspect has reportedly confessed to the murder of Glory Adekolure and admitted to killing eight other women in a similar fashion.

In an interview with Arise TV, Adegboye remarked, "The suspect ran away after killing Glory and he was apprehended in Asaba. We were trailing him, and due to the painstaking investigation by our anti-kidnapping and cybercrime unit, he was arrested. He confessed that Glory Adekolure is not the only girl he has killed and that he has murdered eight other women in a similar manner."
