The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) on Friday, July 5, 2024, reacted to the post by an X user who complained about the activities of commercial bus drivers who endanger the lives of passengers by reversing fromIddo to Idumota Bridge in the state.
LASTMA, on its X handle thanked the man for bringing the matter to its notice, promising that the issue will be taken to the management for the right steps to be taken.
The X user, whose handle is @Prinzeindy, disclosed in his post that some drivers of what he described as 'Danfo Buses' are fond of endangering the lives of passengers by reversing from Iddo to Idumota Bridge, a long distance.
He however did not disclose the reason for the decision of the commercial bus drivers to reverse their vehicles.
In fact, he displayed the video of one of the buses whose driver reversed from Iddo to the bridge at an excessive speed without bothering about the passengers inside the vehicle.

He wrote: "LASTMA, I can't say you people failed to perform your duties as traffic management officials but it is becoming too alarming the way Danfo buses used to reverse on Idumota Bridge from Iddo. Very bad. Kindly do something good."
