UEFA Champions League winner Reveals why Cole Palmer Should Stay and Shine at Chelsea

Despite Chelsea's difficulties this season, former Manchester United striker Dwight Yorke thinks the young forward Cole Palmer should remain at Stamford Bridge and also given backed up reasons.

Yorke played down the likelihood of an instant transfer resulting in awards while being impressed by Palmer's 23 goals for Chelsea this season across all competitions.

The 52-year-old believes Palmer has a chance to become a vital member of Chelsea's team and help the team succeed.

“He wouldn’t go to Liverpool, who will be transitioning under a new manager and team,” Yorke stated. “Palmer needs to stay and become the top dog of the club, build his reputation, and be the man to move the club forward.”

One of the most gifted football players in the world right now, Cole Palmer signed a seven-year contract to move to Stamford Bridge during the 2022–2023 season. The England international is presently regarded as one of the Blues' greatest players and has had a fantastic career thus far with the Premier League Giants. He has frequently earned the right to compete as a playmaker.

Yorke further advised Palmer not to prioritise established teams that already have elite players.

“Sometimes, players can be quick to move to a more successful or bigger club, but players can be the main man to take these clubs up a level. At Liverpool, he won’t ever be a bigger player than Mo Salah or Virgil van Dijk.” The UEFA Champions League winner continued.

The 21-year-old Palmer became the first-ever Chelsea club to score two or more hat-tricks for the club in a season. He has tallied 23 goals in all competitions for the Blues so far this season and is currently one of the best spot-kick takers in all of Europe's top five leagues this season.

He will hopefully continue his form for the Blues to help them avoid further losses that could lead to relegation.
