In the middle of the political war that has been going on between Godwin Obaseki, the Governor of Edo State, and Comrade Philip Shaibu, who was his previous deputy, Chief Dan Orbih, the Vice Chairman South-South of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), has given Philip Shaibu his word that he will support him.
According to Orbih, who is a member of the PDP and belongs to the Legacy group in the state, they are committed to doing everything in their power to ensure that Shaibu is brought to justice. When he made this statement, he was attending a meeting with Shaibu in Ogbona, which is located in the Etsako Central local government of Edo State.
Speaking in a video posted by AIT news, Chief Dan Orbih said, “Nobody has accused you of fraud. Nobody has accused you of mismanagement. All that we are hearing from the government side is political differences about your rights to exercise your constitutional rights to say I want to contest for the governorship of Edo State. Be assured that we are with you, we will stand by you and we will do everything to support you in your quest for justice.”
