Siblings Throw a Lavish Surprise Party For Mum Who Was Devastated After Losing Her Mother

Diana Sheilla Akinyi, her siblings, and her extended family arranged a celebration for her mother, who was still in shock over her 2023 passing.

Diana told TUKO.co.ke that since her mother never celebrated in 2023, she rallied all of her siblings, cousins, aunties, and uncles to organize a vibrant celebration.

Diana claimed that they lost their grandmother a week before her mother's birthday. A spectacular celebration was given by a family in Siaya City in honor of their mother, who tragically passed away one week before her birthday in 2023.

Daughter Diana Sheilla Akinyi claims that on March 29, 2023, her grandmother passed away following a difficult fight with cancer.

"My mum was supposed to celebrate her birthday on April 6, and since planning for the funeral took centre stage, we could not, in good faith, celebrate her birthday," Diana stated to TUKO.co.ke.

"I felt bad all year because all my mother could think about her birthday was that she had lost a loving mother, and that bothered me."

I decided to organize a surprise birthday for myself this year, of course with assistance. I thought I'd kill two birds with one stone since we were all here to commemorate my grandmother's death anniversary," he continued.

She has some cousins in the bigger family. It began with the sisters, but since it brought them closer, the uncles joined in as well. They attended Diana's mother's burial, and she requested them to assist with organizing the surprise for her.

The family first commemorated the first anniversary of their grandmother's passing, and then they attended Diana's mother's celebration the next day.

"She saw it as just another Sunday get-together, and she had a hard time getting my mother to wear her lovely clothing. She is the kind of person who would dress nicely for the event.

We had to get my brother involved to take her 'out' for a drive in order to pull off the ideal surprise," the devoted daughter remarked. Once more, she would inquire, "You don't want my assistance?

We appointed a DJ, a photographer, and a cameraman, and everyone changed into the agreed-upon attire the minute she left. Thank you, cousins, for taking up the task, I know it wasn't easy," she added.

To avoid raising suspicions, the cake had to be concealed in the home of a woman known to be Nyagot. Diana forgot where she had hidden the cake because everyone had their designated chores to complete.

After giving the young lady the runaround for the day, she also forgot where they had hidden it."Now for the exciting part: meeting the birthday girl.

Let me tell you, waiting for my mother and brother to return made this difficult. There was no way I could phone him without ruining the surprise. Our honored guest finally showed up after a protracted wait, right when we were about to give up," she remarked.

"We had to explain to her that we were starting her birthday celebrations a week early since she was astonished. At that point, the baby girl's personality emerged; she giggled and danced.

Seeing my mother smile and take in this lovely time with those closest to her was a delight. Diana's mother is still processing her loss and grieving, but she is still delighted that her daughter was able to make her smile. "To everyone who made the birthday a success, I am forever grateful," she stated.
