According to the report from the Tribune, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike asserted that the happiness of the people reflects positively on the government, acknowledging the previous loss of faith in governmental promises.

He affirmed that President Tinubu has restored hope through his commitment to infrastructure development and emphasized that the administration will continue to prioritize and invest in road projects.

He pledged that the government will not abandon ongoing projects and has allocated 50% of the budget for this purpose.

He expressed confidence that significant progress will be made within a year and looked forward to commissioning the completed road.

Nyesom Wike said this while flagging off the reconstruction of 25km Kwaita–Yebu road in Kwali Area Council of the FCT

He said, "When the people are happy, government is happy. You lost hope in the past, you didn’t believe that a government will come and work on the road. Mr President said he has come to bring back hope. He has brought back hope. For us, it a promise made and promise kept, we will not abandon the road. We are not in the category of those who award contracts and not complete them. In this year’s budget, we’ve provided 50 percent of the funds. Do not lose hope, by this time next year, by the grace of God, I will be here to commission this road."
