Senator Sunday Karimi from the APC representing Kogi West has criticized Senate Chief Whip Senator Mohammed Ali Ndume for what he sees as unjustified hostility towards President Bola Tinubu's administration. Karimi cautioned Ndume against making derogatory remarks and encouraged him to engage in productive discussions instead of undermining the government.

Karimi expressed worry about Ndume's behavior, comparing it to a "loose cannon," and stressed the significance of offering well-founded criticism in governance. He suggested that Ndume's criticisms appear to stem from a personal agenda to disrupt the government rather than a genuine intention to enhance governance.

Furthermore, Karimi pointed out the inconsistency in Ndume's stance by highlighting his silence during the previous administration under President Muhammadu Buhari. He indicated that Ndume's criticisms lack solid evidence and are driven by a desire to tear down rather than build up.

Given his extensive experience in the National Assembly, Karimi advised Senator Ndume to be careful with his comments to prevent further division in the country. He underscored the need for responsible dialogue, urging Ndume to steer clear of making provocative statements that could worsen existing political tensions.

According to The Nation, Karimi said, "As an experienced legislator with over two decades of service in the National Assembly, Senator Ndume is urged to exercise caution in his statements and avoid making inflammatory remarks that could further polarise the polity and divide the nation.”
