Former governor of Zamfara State and current minister of state for defence Bello Matawalle has lambasted fellow Northern political figure Mr. Kabiru Garba Marafa for attacking Bola Tinubu's administration.

He has made it clear that he wants to know how long the northern area will persist in practicing "primitive politics." According to Sahara Reporters, the former governor of Zamfara State revealed this information in a statement released by his media consultant, Deyemi Saka. He went on to attack Mr. Marafa, claiming that many people in the north who were mute throughout the previous government of President Buhari had suddenly found a voice because Tinubu is not from the north.

It should be noted that Mr. Mustafa, a former senator and chieftain of the governing All Progressives Congress, APC, recently reacted to a statement made by Bello Matawalle disparaging the Northern Elders Forum, NEF.

according to punch, The Minister went on to tell Marafa that President Tinubu was not elected president of the country by the northern area alone, emphasising that no one can be elected president by a single region.

The statement said, in part: "It is extremely hypocritical that many people who either lost their voice or never had it during Muhammadu Buhari's eight years in office, which never elevated the life of a typical Northerner or showed interest in bettering their lot in life through deliberate and effective leadership, are now roaring like a hot furnace."
