Daniel Bwala, an ex-spokesman of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, has criticised the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, for giving certain privileges to former Kogi State governor, Yahaya Bello, while denying same to crossdresser, Idris Okuneye aka Bobrisky, who was recently convicted and sentenced for publicly abusing the Naira.
Bwala faulted the EFCC’s alleged disregard for the rule of law, describing the recent press conference by the commission’s chairman, Ola Olukayode as a “media trial”.

Nigeria Divided, Requires Core Statesman To Unite It – Saraki

A former Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki has said the nation requires a core statesman to unite rather than further divide it.
Saraki, represented by a former House of Representatives’ member, Honourable Golu Timothy, identified this imperative at the maiden edition of the Honourable Adebo Ogundoyin Students’ Legislative Summit held at the University of Ibadan, on Wednesday.
According to Saraki, the nation was presently divided as a result of the kind of leadership produced over the years.
Noting that the character and actions of political leaders is crucial to nation-building, Saraki stressed that only a core statesman would unite the nation.

The Senator who represented Enugu North Senatorial Zone and former Senate Committee Chairman on Information and Media, Senator Ayogu Eze is dead.
It was gathered that Eze who was in the National Assembly between 2007 and 2015 died on Thursday in an Abuja hospital at the age of 66 after suffering from an undisclosed illness.
Lagos Workers Earn Minimum Of N70,000 Since January – Sanwo-Olu

The Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has disclosed that workers have been enjoying an additional N35,000 wage allowance since January.
This is as he revealed the state government will soon roll out a new minimum wage scheme.
The governor stated that those who are currently earning a minimum wage of N35,000 or more now take home a salary of N70,000 or above since the beginning of the year.
