It is very important to point out that he has been called up to play for Spain at youth level. This is because of the fact that he has Nigerian ancestry. It is important to state that his biological mother is from Spain while his biological father is from the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Elijah Gift is regarded as one of the most talented young players in the Spanish youth division.
