A rice farmer identified as Taiwo Paul has been murdered by some suspected herders in Ogun State

According to Punch, In a gruesome attack, a 26-year-old rice farmer, Taiwo Paul, was hacked to death by suspected herders in the Kata Area of Ewekoro Local Government, Ogun State. The incident occurred on Thursday when Paul went to check on his crops at his rice plantation. His twin brother, Kehinde, found him dying in a pool of blood, bleeding profusely from severe cuts on his hands and right leg.

Despite efforts to rush him to the hospital, Paul succumbed to his injuries on the way. The police have launched an investigation into the incident and are working to apprehend the perpetrators. The Ogun State Police Command confirmed the incident and urged anyone with information to come forward.

In a separate incident, another farmer, Peter Danjuma, met a tragic end when he was electrocuted while feeding birds at a poultry farm in the Isoyin area of Atan-Ijebu. He was rushed to the General Hospital in Ijebu-Ode, where he was confirmed dead. The police are investigating both incidents and are working to ensure justice for the victims and their families.
