President Bola Tinubu has highlighted the significant progress made by security forces in addressing insecurity in Nigeria's North-West region.
Speaking at the North-West Peace and Security Summit organized by the North-West Governors’ Forum in Katsina, he noted the successful disruption and dismantling of criminal networks.
The President’s message, delivered by Vice President Kashim Shettima, assured citizens that these efforts represent just the initial phase of a broader strategy to enhance security nationwide.
According to a report by Channels Television, Tinubu pointed out that military operations like Operation Hadin Kai and Operation Safe Haven have effectively targeted and weakened groups such as Boko Haram and various bandit factions.
These operations, bolstered by improved border security and intelligence, have led to the neutralization of key figures within these criminal organizations.
The President emphasized that these achievements mark the beginning of an intensified effort to secure all regions of the country, pledging continued commitment to creating a safer environment for all Nigerians.
