Tony Okocha, the caretaker chairman of the Rivers State APC and a supporter of Wike's campaign, has said that they are pleased with an allegation made by an appeal court judge. He explained that the Judge had asserted that wrongly handling cases in front of the court is a frivolous action.

He stressed that the rulings made by the courts were solid legally and would address many complaints around the state. He pointed out that the state had a number of court orders, some of which were obtained in dubious ways.

He maintained that by consolidating these cases, the Court of Appeal made things clearer and made it possible for any aggrieved party to appeal to the Supreme Court.

During a Channels TV interview, he stated, ''The reasoning that led to the decisions of the three-man Court of Appeal panel is German. One of the judges said something, and we were happy with what she said in court."

"She said that because these matters are not properly before the Court, anybody who ventured into them was doing what she referred to as a frivolous act."

"What the judges did is sound law, and it's going to settle a lot of grouses in the state. We have had several orders of court in the state; some are procured at night. And of course, the Court of Appeal was clear about that."

"And having put all of the matter into one means that any party that is not happy with the judgment can go to the Supreme Court."
