Deputy National Publicity Secretary Ibrahim Abdullahi has alleged that the court did not issue any consequential order regarding the primary or the PDP candidate, Asue Ighodalo. He clarified that the judgment instead confirmed the validity of the primary election.

He emphasized that the delegate's counsel should be reprimanded for misleadingly suggesting there was a consequential order, causing unnecessary confusion. Abdullahi reaffirmed their intention to appeal the judgment, insisting that their position is in accordance with the law.

In an interview with Arise TV, Abdullahi said, "The judgment entails that the primary still remains valid. However, the interpretation was the bone of contention at the court. The counsel of the delegate needs to be cautioned for giving the impression that there was a consequential order.

There was no consequential order by my Lord to that effect. We are certainly going to appeal the judgment, and that is the position of the law. There was no order stating that our candidate has been invalidated or disqualified."

Abdullahi's comments highlight a misunderstanding or misrepresentation of the court's judgment by the delegate's counsel. He clarified that the court confirmed the primary election's validity and did not issue any order affecting the candidacy of Asue Ighodalo. This misrepresentation, according to Abdullahi, has led to unnecessary confusion and requires correction.

Abdullahi's assertion to appeal the judgment further emphasizes his commitment to ensuring clarity and correctness in legal proceedings. By pointing out the lack of a consequential order, he aims to dispel any misconceptions about the court's ruling and reaffirm the PDP's stance.

This approach underlines the importance of accurate legal interpretation and communication, especially in politically charged contexts.
