According to Punch, Abia State Governor, Alex Otti, senators, and various groups have strongly condemned the killing of two police officers and a 14-year-old teenager in Aba last Friday. The incident also left two police officers wounded.

Governor Otti assured the families of the slain policemen that the perpetrators would be brought to justice, vowing to change the strategy to deal with the attacks. Senators Orji Uzor Kalu, Enyi Abaribe, and Austin Akobundu also condemned the attacks, urging security agencies to take action.

The Coalition of South East Youth Leaders, Foundation for Environmental Rights, Advocacy and Development, Nigeria, and the Abia State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party also denounced the killings, calling for increased intelligence gathering and a change in security strategy.

The attacks have been described as a plot to make the state ungovernable, and the perpetrators have been urged to be brought to justice. The incidents have raised concerns about the security situation in Abia State, with calls for a more proactive approach to preventing such attacks.
