AAC presidential candidate for 2023, Mr. Omoyele Sowore, is a well-known human rights advocate from Nigeria. He has noted that some Yorubas took President Tinubu's assertion that it was his time to reign as a declaration that it was their turn to lead Nigeria.

The AAC presidential candidate went on to say that those in political leadership who brought Nigeria to its knees are still in charge and that Nigeria has not yet arrived. Mr. Sowore went on to urge all Nigerians to take the required steps to save their country, irrespective of tribe or religion.

Sahara Reporters reports that Mr. Omoyele Sowore revealed this information at a speech at a recent gathering in New York, USA, that his followers had planned.

"It is all about business as usual because the man in charge now claimed it is his turn," stated Omoyele Sowore. The Yorubas misunderstood Tinubu's statement that it was their turn, even though he had not stated that it was their turn.

He made it very apparent that there is nothing new about being arrested when recounting his experience of being forcibly held by the Nigerian government for several months, adding that he had been detained multiple times.
