A section of Kenyans online has ganged up against Nairobi county Woman Representative Esther Passaris over what she told an unemployed Kenyan who had requested a job from her.

On Saturday morning, a Kenyan on X with the handle @JacquesMurage requested for a job from Passaris, adding that her previous attempts to seek employment from politicians bored no fruits.

"Madam, aki si unipee job Niache kukua idle huku twitter. I have a degree in international business management and a good experience in marketing. Trying my luck I only hear politicians help people but I have not been lucky," she wrote on X.

However, the the Nairobi Women Rep. dismissed her request, urging her to apply for any of the diaspora jobs advertised by the government.

"Did you listen to the President Williams Ruto on X Space yesterday on the over 400k advertised diaspora jobs on a government website?" Passaris replied to Jacques.

However, Esther Passaris's response did not sit well with a section of Kenyans, who took to the comments section to vent their anger.

Majority of the netizens blasted the Nairobi Women Rep. for urging Kenyan graduates to apply for the diaspora jobs which are mostly manual. The netizens wondered if Passaris would work there herself or advise any of her children to do those foreign jobs advertised by the Kenyan government.

Some termed Passaris's response as insensitive and shameful.

"Shame on you. Have you looked at the website. Why don't you apply and go work there?" a Kenyan on X replied to Passaris.

"Why don't you go and work abroad and leave Kenyans who want to create employment for Kenyans take up your seat," another infuriated Kenyan told off Passaris.

"What an insensitive comment. All you had to do is tell her you don't have any openings at the moment," a netizen commented.

"You are flashing janitor, housemaid and carwash attendants jobs for youth with masters and degrees?Have a little shame," another Kenyan angrily reacted.

"Shame on you. What dignity is there in working as a maid in Saudi Arabia? We demand people like you to get out of public positions. We want jobs created in Kenya through a conducive business environment," another X user commented.
