According to the report from the Tribune News, the national chairman of the Association of Middle Belt Ethnic Nationalities, Mr Sule Kwasau advocated for shared sacrifice across all levels of society, including the executive branch, emphasizing that the burden should not solely fall on the general population.

He highlighted the wasteful practices within the government, arguing that there is an excessive number of ministers and vehicles assigned to them.

He also pointed out the inefficient allocation of police resources, citing the example of police officers being assigned to politically connected individuals who are not government officials, which ultimately diverts public funds.

He stressed the need for a more responsible and efficient use of government resources to address these issues.

He said, "Once there is a call for sacrifice, I think it should run across the board. It should not only be the masses that should tighten their belts but even the executives. The way we run our government in this country, there is so much waste, and that is the truth. You (Tinubu) don’t need this number of ministers, and you don’t need this number of vehicles attached to ministers. Look at even the shortage we have in the police force. When you see a politically exposed person who is not even in government, a policeman is attached to him and being paid from public funds."
