Bishop David Oyedepo, General Overseer of the Living Faith Church Worldwide, preached a stirring sermon at the Covenant Day of All Round Rest Service titled "Towards Maximizing Our Glorious Destiny In Christ 5". Oyedepo's message was riveting, touching on topics such as personal commitment, divine protection, and the significance of living one's life according to one's faith and contributions.

The declaration made by Bishop Oyedepo, who stressed his personal financial independence from the church's funds, was quite startling. His declaration, "I am living on my tithe not your own, I am living on my seed not your own," emphasizes his dedication to putting his preaching into practice by depending on his own financial donations and labor instead of those of his congregation.

He related an extraordinary story of how he was guided by a higher power to foil a planned heist. Except for that one lovely day when the Lord prompted me to go down to the office, I have never left the Church funds in my possession overnight. Yes, I did it. "Contact the administrator," I instructed him. Leave this establishment with all of your money. That was accomplished by us. Two and a half hours subsequent to the armed robbers' invasion. Nothing was discovered. He said, "I walk in the spirit." Bishop Oyedepo conveyed this. This experience highlights his deep spiritual connection and the fact that his ministry is being protected by God.

In his sermon, Bishop Oyedepo exhorted his congregation to commit themselves fully to God and His kingdom. Never state 'we are going' or 'we are coming.' "Reflecting on my own commitment made on September 12, 1976, I urge you to consciously enter into a covenant as an individual to make serving God and the interests of His Kingdom your priority for living," he said. A comparable level of self-dedication, he urged his listeners to embrace.

"In the name of Jesus, I decree that your days of panting and palpitating to make things happen have come to an end in your life," he said as a powerful decree to close. There are no tricks or games involved; if you seek God's kingdom first, all these things that others are dying for will be yours as well.
