EFCC Set To Arraign Buhari's Ex-minister Hadi Sirika For N8billion Fraud

There is a high tendency that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission will arraign arrested former Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika for alleged money laundering to the tune of N8,069,176,864.00 next week.

SaharaReporters on Tuesday reported the former aviation minister was arrested and grilled by the EFCC operatives over the "Nigeria Air" project fraud during his tenure.

A source close revealed that Sirika was questioned about the ongoing investigations by the agency.

Tinubu Arrives Netherlands On State Visit

President Bola Tinubu has arrived in the Netherlands on a state visit.

President Tinubu, during his visit, is expected to engage in high-level meetings with Dutch government officials, and business leaders.

The president will also engage in discussions around trade, investment, security cooperation, and cultural exchange.


Otti Charges Police To Fish Officers Involved In Abia Indigene's Death

Governor Alex Otti of Abia State has expressed sadness at the unfortunate killing of an Abia citizen, Emmanuel Okocha, who is an indigene of Amanta, by a policeman last week.

He directed the Abia State Commissioner of Police, Kene Onwuemelie, to ensure that the officers involved in the incident are duly investigated and anyone found culpable made to face the full wrath of the law.

In a press release signed by Kazie Uko, Otti’s Chief Press Secretary, he stated that preliminary information from the state police command showed that one of the officers involved is already in custody and would be made to go through the disciplinary process of the Force and would be charged to court if found culpable.


African Leaders, Heads Of Govts, UN Adopt Abuja Declaration In Tackling Terrorism

African leaders, including Heads of State and Government, Ministers of Defence, National Security Advisors, representatives of regional organisations, UN and others, have adopted the Abuja Declaration to tackle terrorism in Africa.

The declaration made at the end of the High-Level African Counter-Terrorism Meeting, held on Monday and Tuesday in Abuja, was presented by the National Coordinator, National Counter-Terrorism Centre (NCTC), Maj.-Gen. Adamu Laka.

The event has the theme “Strengthening Regional Cooperation and Institution Building to Address the Evolving Threat of Terrorism in Africa.
