The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Command of the Federal Fire Service today, July 2nd, hosted a thrilling Fire Drill Competition at the Metropolitan Fire Station in Kubwa.


The highly anticipated event brought together firefighters from various stations and outposts within the Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) in the FCT, all vying for top honors.


The competition featured teams and individual firefighters showcasing their expertise in fire extinguishing, emergency response simulations. The event was a display of bravery, speed, and skill, with teams demonstrating their preparedness and response to fire incidents.


The winners were presented with awards, and the event fostered a sense of camaraderie and healthy rivalry among the firefighters. The Controller General of the Federal Fire Service, Engr. Jaji O. Abudulganiyu, commended the firefighters for their dedication, hard work, and commitment to their duties. He praised their professionalism and teamwork, saying, "Your bravery and expertise are truly commendable. You are the unsung heroes of our society, and we are grateful for your service." He also encouraged them to continue striving for excellence in their duties, saying, "Your efforts are crucial in ensuring the safety of lives and properties in the Country."


The successful event highlighted the importance of fire safety and emergency preparedness in the capital city. The head of the FCT Command commended the participants for their outstanding performance and thanked the Controller General for his support and encouragement.
