Chief Edwin Clark, the leader of the Pan Niger Delta Forum (PANDEF) has slammed the National Executive Council (NEC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for not addressing the issue of Minister Nyesom Wike alongside other party members who were allegedly involved in anti - party activities during the 2023 general election.

According to Vanguard, he recently made this known while accusing Ambassador Umar Damagum, the Acting National Chairman of PDP for overlooking some happenings within the political party because Wike was his person.

He said: " The NEC showed obvious weakness by allowing Mr. Nyesom Wike to bamboozle everyone in the meeting. No one was ready to speak truth to power. Therefore, emphasis was put on reconciliation committee and not on the disciplinary committee. Unfortunately, it was therefore Wike’s day and a confirmation of his earlier claim that PDP approved him to join President Tinubu’s cabinet as Minister ".

He added: " One wonders the sincerity of PDP when they criticize and condemn some of the policies of the government at the centre; when their strong man and financier, Wike is a major player in the government of President Tinubu ".
