The Directorate of Criminal Investigations DCI published photos of wanted persons and shared them to the public for easy tracing.
The individuals whose images were published were accused of Unlawful activities during Anti-finance Bill 2024 demonstrations. Among them is Reverend Dennis Basweti, a Kisii Pastor of Deliverance Church. The pastor is alleged to have been Mistakenly listed in the list as the video used against him was a past on that Silvanus Osoro captured during his past visit to the parliament.
Silvanus Osoro has come out to defend pastor Basweti, sharing that the pastor had visited him in parliament a month ago, took him on a round tour of chambers as he took selfies and videos that he shared in Facebook. The photos and videos were then downloaded and used against him.
However, pastor Basweti appeared before DCI and he will be cleared.
