According to a recent report from Daily Post, the spouse of the late Yoruba film luminary, Mufutau Sanni Abdulahi, fondly remembered as Ajigijaga, has divulged the harrowing ordeal she and her children endured following her husband's demise.

During an appearance on the Talk To B show, she recounted the distressing sequence of events that unfolded on the fateful day of her husband's passing. Shockingly, she recounted being summarily ejected from their residence by her late husband's family, leaving her and her children destitute and bereft of their possessions.

In the wake of this traumatic upheaval, she found herself thrust into the unfamiliar realm of street vending, a stark departure from her previous circumstances. Struggling to make ends meet, she resorted to peddling wares on the streets in a bid to provide sustenance for her family, a stark departure from her previous way of life.

The stark reality of her situation is compounded by the lack of support from her community, as she encounters skepticism and reluctance from others to extend a helping hand. She lamented the pervasive stigma and suspicion that surrounds her plight, fearing that charitable gestures may be misconstrued as ulterior motives.

Amidst her struggle for survival, she reflects on the stark contrast between her present predicament and the life she once shared with her late husband. Where once she was shielded from the hardships of street hawking, she now finds herself compelled to undertake it as a means of sustenance for her family.

In her words: “Now that he is dead, I am now a hawker, this was something he never allowed me to do when he was alive. I have to hawk so I can feed my children."
