Done deal: Bristol Rovers sign Grant Ward
Bristol Rovers have signed midfielder Grant Ward following his release from Blackpool earlier this month. Ward re-joined the Seasiders in October on a short-term deal after recovering from a long-term Achilles injury. The 28-year-old made 58 appearances for the club, having initially signed for them in 2019. Ward, who began his career with Tottenham's academy, also spent three years with Iswich and has had spells at Rotherham and Coventry.
Arsenal continue talks with Brighton for Caicedo
Despite having seen a £60m bid for Moises Caicedo rejected, Standard Sport understands Arsenal remain in talks with Brighton. The midfielder is now the Gunners’ top target during what remains of this month’s transfer window but, as ever, the Seagulls are holding out. Arsenal and Brighton remain in talks at this stage.

Martinelli set to extend Arsenal stay
Gabriel Martinelli is set to sign a new four-and-a-half year deal with Arsenal, David Ornstein has revealed, taking his stay in North London up to the summer of 2027.
