Barcelona closely monitoring Uruguayan forward

Fans of Spanish Giants Barcelona have been greeted with some news on the team's pursuit of players this summer. The Catalan club in latest reports are monitoring the progress of Uruguayan forward Maximiliano Araujo and could make a move for him.

Maximiliano Araujo has emerged as a transfer target for Barcelona. The 24 year old left winger who plays for Uruguayan side Toluca has been performing well for both club and national team lately and is attracting strong interests from Europe this summer. Barcelona are in need of reinforcements in the left wing position and have identified Araujo as a possible transfer target.

According to reports from media personality Uriel Lugt, FC Barcelona are closely monitoring the progress of Toluca's Maximiliano Araujo. The Spanish club's sporting director Deco is said to have requested a scout report on the forward. Araujo's contract at Toluca expires in December 2026.

It remains to be seen if Barcelona will successfully seal a move for Maximiliano Araujo soon.
