The Kaduna State Assembly has accused Nasir El-Rufai's administration of embezzling billions of Naira and putting the state in into unbearable debt due to foreign loans; in response, Jafaru Sani, a former Kaduna State Commissioner under El-Rufai's leadership, has reportedly spoken out.

According to Jafaru Sani, the study is full of lies, preconceived notions, and distortion and was produced through an unfair and malicious procedure.
When asked about the loans, he stated that the Malam Nasir El-Rufai government inherited $234 million in foreign debts in 2015 and that it had followed all procedures to get the loans; testimony from Aminu Shagali, who served as Speaker from June 2015 to early 2020, supports these claims.
Additionally, Jafaru Sani brought up the fact that the current government would be unable to present any projects to the world as accomplishments in the past year if the loan that the El-Rufai administration got were not available.
